It is Ski Time in Texas

Of course, we really don't have skiing in Texas, but this time of the year thousands of Texans turn to thoughts about ski lodges, get out the equipment and do fall cleaning, send off the ski clothes to cleaners, and start making their winter ski plans to other states and world resorts.

American Online (AOL) has an extensive resort ski traveler’s research section.  Just about anything a person wants to know about the nation’s ski resorts can be found.    The top 10 of  Ski Magazine’s 2007 top 10 recommendations are:

1. Deer Valley, UT

2. Vail, CO
3. Whistler/Blackcomb, BC
4. Aspen Mountain, CO
5. Snowmass, CO
6.Park City, UT

7. Breckenridge, CO
8. Beaver Creek, CO
9.Steamboat, CO

10. Sun Valley, ID

Recommendations from www.concierge.com:

LUXURY: Aspen, Colorado | Megève, France
FAMILY: Smugglers' Notch, Vermont | Geilo, Norway
ADVENTURE: Silverton, Colorado | Laax, Switzerland
HOT SPOTS: Whistler, B.C., Canada | Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy

Resort snow reports

How about looking at live ski action on ski cameras (cams) over the nation?

Happy Traveling and Happy skiing!
