Sun Communities and RV Resorts

Rhonda Pipkin

Sun Communities and RV Resorts are a collaboration of manufactured homes, RV’s new and used, and attractive amenities which make the RV’er envious and longing to be a part of such a community.  Buttonwood Bay is the perfect example of unparalleled comforts, climate, and fun activities that make Florida living so attractive. Buttonwood Bay is located in Central Florida, amidst the orange groves and bass fishing lakes.  While located on the shores of Lake Josephine and Jackson Creek, in the heart of bass fishing country, Lake Josephine is a great fishing lake and there are 25 other lakes within 10 miles of the park. A private boat ramp, fish cleaning facilities, 210' fishing pier, fishing tournaments, and a fenced-in boat storage area, make this a “laid back” community for those wanting to experience the Sun Community living.

Within the state of Florida, there are a number of Sun Communities; each with its own personality and availability of amenities.  Most of the resorts include a listing of the facilities which can be manufactured homes or new and used RV’s with covered carport, and small yard.  What are the benefits of visiting one of these communities?  During your vacation, you can try these on to see how they fit you and your particular lifestyle.  Not many people can live in the space of around 200-300 square feet.  This would be an approximate living space in an RV, depending upon RV size and style.   Besides the ability to try this lifestyle on to see how it fits you; there are many varied activities for you to take advantage.

If scheduled activities, sparkling pools, fun-loving neighbors, close proximity to golf, fishing, and shopping appeal to you, then I suggest you try one of the following Sun RV Resorts:

Buttonwood Bay, Arbor Terrace, Siesta Bay, Indian Creek, and Lake San Marino have specified age requirements  of fifty-five plus, to stay at these facilities.  The other Sun RV resort communities include all ages.

Texas is home to three of the Sun RV Resort communities.  Casa Del Valle, Kenwood, and Snow to Sun all have a fifty-five age group restriction for ownership and resort living.  Just imagine living only ten minutes from the Mexican border or hopping over to Padre Island for island fun.  That’s what you can be doing at Snow to Sun RV resort.
