United Campground,

Durango, Colorado

Rhonda Pipkin

There are places where you enjoy staying and visiting – maybe once but never consider going back, and then there are those places where you make a mental check mark to put “this place” on your return list!  That is what you’ll find when you pull your RV into one of the many pull-through sites at United Campground RV park betwixt mountain and meadow!  http://www.unitedcampgrounddurango.com/facilities.html.

United Campground is situated within the 240 mile San Juan Scenic Drive Loop, the San Juan-Rio Grande National Forest, Animas River Valley, and off to the west, the Mesa Verde National Park.  What a rich area for sightseeing, fly fishing, golf, and shopping between Durango and Silverton.

One of the fun events you’ll find at this campground is the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Train ride which comes through the United campground. RV’ers will have great photo opportunities to take pictures as the train passes through.

For those needing more than just a night’s rest, you will have 100 plus sites to choose from.  This full service RV park with 20, 30, and 50 amp hook-up utilities, water, sewer, hot showers, laundry, heated pool, game room, general store and gift shop will meet all your RV needs. Reservations are required from June – September and rates vary depending upon type of site reserved.  When you’re in the area of Durango, seek out the United Campground RV park in Durango Colorado and enjoy the mountains, meadows, and all that’s in between!  Happy  Traveling!
