Callaway Gardens is many things - truly a family experience ready to happen!
The things to see and do never seem to be exhausted, at least not in one stay. (See the golf section of this issue.)
First, for the adults there is the "world-class" spa that offers 13 treatment rooms, a VIP suite, a two-person treatment room, relaxation lounge with fireplace and juice bar, a wide range of personalized treatments to choose from that incorporate fruits, herbs, minerals, and flowers.

The exercise studio is well equipped and offers a large variety of workout options, as well as a group exercise studio. After the exciting "spa experience or workout" the private changing rooms complete with saunas, steam rooms, and showers await you.

All of this is just an hour away from Atlanta, but the surrounding beauty of wildlife creates an atmosphere that seems as if "cities just don't exist."

There are water ski events, gardening schools, birds of prey shows, a butterfly center to visit, art exhibits, fly fishing schools, a large variety of walking trails to choose from, gardens to visit, concert to attend, workshops of photography, restaurants with casual to gourmet dining, horseback riding, and as previously mentioned - golf, with a variety of courses to choose from! I failed to mention world class tennis courts ranked in the nation's top 50, skeet and trap shooting, out-of-doors free flight exhibits of birds of prey in action, and much much more to do and see! All of this in one convenient location where all of the family can "find their thing to do" in the safety of a world famous resort.

"The Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center, where 1,000 tropical butterflies, representing more than 50 different species, flutter freely through the air. Tropical plants and birds, reside peacefully with the colorful winged jewels in North America's largest, glass-enclosed tropical conservatory. The award-winning film, On Wings of Wonder, plays continuously on two wide-screen monitors in the center's multi-purpose room, explaining the life cycle of butterflies.
I'll not spend time telling about the
exquisite luxury and beautifully designed appointed rooms that are all you would expect and more in a resort/lodge of this quality. There are more than 150 guest rooms and suites to choose from, and each has its own balcony overlooking the landscape that makes the Gardens famous. You will not be disappointed! I promise! It is an Editor's Choice! In addition there are the 2 bedroom villas close to the conference center, and to top it off there are 323 and suites in the Mountain Creek Inn over looking a pond or area landscape!
