Questing Through Travel

Lazelle Jones

Many come to a crossroad in life when they question the value of what they have elected to do with respect to others, where the direction of their personal journey is taking them and what their personal mission statement should be.  Questions posed often include, “Is what I am doing meaningful?  Are the end results important and what is the impact of said results on others?  Are there moral and ethical considerations that here-to-for I have not been addressed and do I need to alter or change the heading of the course I have charted?” Should you find yourself at this existential crossroad, where a fresh set of lenses for viewing these matters may be helpful, there is good news!  Wisdom Culture Consulting , an organization whose charter it is to help others search for personal meaning and then act upon those discoveries, hosts individuals, small and large group trips that visit important spiritual sites that lace the earth and that have given and continue to give guidance as to what correct human behavior should be. Under the leadership of Karen Rae Wilson, Wisdom Culture Consulting works with traditional knowledge bases and indigenous elders from around the world to help others answer these questions.

Leading the current list of events Wisdom Culture Consulting will be hosting is one that is dedicated as a spiritual tour to England’s sacred pilgrimage sites in the Land of the Grail.  This ten day odyssey that is billed “Return to Avalon” begins in London on May 16.  The itinerary includes gatherings, lectures, discussions groups, meditation sessions and ceremonies at England’s most famous ancient pilgrimage sites including Stonehenge, Glastonbury and Avebury.  A private evening entrance to Stonehenge during the Wesak full moon and a full moon ceremony that is dedicated to create harmony and healing among all is included.  Reservations can be made by visiting www.sacredearthjourneys.ca.   Lead by Karen Rae Wilson, the tour will include songs, stories and insights into how the knowledge and power of these sacred places can act as a catalyst and ignite a personal sense of purpose and meaning and be instrumental in making positive changes on a global basis.

Return to Avalon will include visiting Glastonbury Abbey and Chalice Wells, both of which have long been associated with King Arthur, Guinevere and the Grail.  Other important sites will include the Avebury Stone Circle, Silbury Hill, Salisbury Cathedral, Stourhead Gardens, Bath, London’s Temple Church of the Knights Templar, Westminster Abbey and a delightful cruise on the River Thames.  Sufficient time has been scheduled into this ten day tour for individual exploration and shopping both in the countryside near Wells and in the very heart of London.

Other upcoming tours include a similar kind of sojourn that will be hosted by Wisdom Culture Consulting that takes participants to the natural beauty of British Columbia’s Vancouver Island where the unique spiritual sites of the First Nations People of Canada will be visited.  Focusing on the spiritual and tribal wisdom that has been handed down from generation to generation, First Nations People, ceremonies, story telling and discussions will bring into focus the importance and value of this knowledge that for most remains undiscovered.

Wisdom Culture Consulting has led groups and individuals on spiritual quests to the Land of Enchantment (New Mexico) and will in the future conduct similar odysseys to the land of the Mayan.  Visionary Karen Rae Wilson is considered a peer among those who are healers, shaman and elders. The circle of spiritual acquaintances with who she works to help others take the next step in realizing harmony within themselves and the world, includes spiritual elders from Zimbabwe, Jewish shamans and elders from the Inuit communities.   As a Celtic singer she is recognized among her peers as a sage, one who can guide others who come seeking spiritual solace in the Celtic tradition.   Happy Traveling!
