The aviation theme Fantasy of Flight will let you step back into time in aviation history which includes war themes and history themes on a self-guided tour, flight simulators for “hands on” experience of flying, education in aircraft restoration, and view some of the greatest planes of history up close and personal.
There is the Art Deco designed Compass Rose Diner for your eating pleasure, a large aviation-themed gift shop, and more. will bring you up-to-date on visitors hours, etc. The average time to view all the property is between three to five hours. However, an hour and a half tour is well worth the time if that is all one can allot to this family educational and fun experience.
The founder and creator of Fantasy of Flight the result of Kermit Weeks’ life-long enthusiasm about aviation. Kermit grew up in Miami, and by 20 years of age was flying his first home-built aircraft. He continued his education in aeronautical engineering at Miami-Dale Junior College, the University of Florida, and eventually Purdue University. His awards and achievements in the world of aircraft is legendary.
