Centennial House B & B
St. Augustine, Florida

John C. Jones
Travel/Food Writer

In a city as beautiful and inviting as the lovely St. Augustine, it is not unusual to find a large number of B & Bs, with one for every budget, one for every taste.  The prestigious Centennial House is among the “certified historic structures” and located along the horse drawn carriage route.  The beautiful structure has a commanding position on the corner lot of Saragossa and Cordova

For me personally, an essential ingredient for a B & B in this mesmerizing town is closeness to the “historic old section,” and the town section.  The Centennial House is within ten  minutes of “all my favorite places of both areas.”    All of the “important” places are just waiting for you to walk to whenever you feel like going – all there at your convenience, eliminating the need for driving which can be very important when traveling the area by car which usually ends up in endless searching for parking.  Even the waterfront is just a stroll away.  Step out the door and soon you are right in the heart of dinning, historic buildings, waterfront, “the fort,” and all that tranquil St. Augustine has to offer.

Since crime is “almost non-existence” in the historic area of the city, the unhurried pace of tranquil St. Augustine  makes it one of the most relaxing, peaceful, placid  places to get away from it all before going back to the real world.

You will find the Centennial House a place to get comfortable with –just the way you like it.  At least I did, and as a travel writer traveling over the world for over thirty years, have enough qualifications to make accommodation observations – at least that is my humble opinion.

I think you will fall in love with a B & B that has just the right touch of old fashioned charm, and modern conveniences.  I can easily say this is a picture-perfect  setting for  an unforgettable and memorable  stay.

For honeymooners on a medium budget, St. Augustine is the perfect place!  The Centennial House would be the perfect place for a never-to-be-forgotten first step into your new relationship.
