Queen Victorian B & B Lodge
in
Aspen, Colorado

John C. Jones
Travel/Food Writer

Aspen is not so much a B & B town as it is a “high roller’s playground,” but the Snow Queen Victorian Lodge makes up for all of that!  We are talking upscale,  quaint, stylish, and enjoyable.

From Pamela Lanier’s B & B list:  “Queen Victorian B&B Lodge, built in 1886, is called "The Jewel of Aspen" by the Historic Society.”  This historic Victorian B&B is just 2 blocks from the center of town and within easy walking distance to Aspen Mountain ski lifts and shuttle buses to the 3 surrounding ski areas.   The book Bed & Breakfasts by Pamela Lanier is a guide to over 4,000 inns and in print for over 22 years.

“This charming family run Victorian, specializes in a friendly congenial atmosphere with western hospitality. Named after famous silver mines, our reasonably priced rooms all have private baths, TVs and phones, and some have kitchens and private decks. Jack Pot room pictured here.

Sample homemade breads and muffins and while visiting with others at breakfast, or after an activity filled day, soak in the outdoor hot tub with spectacular views and enjoy a hot spiced wine in the lounge before a wood burning fireplace.

We have a workout facility on the premises. We also offer Cooper Street Lofts, deluxe studio apartments, adjacent to the Snow Queen. These spacious modern condos, with high ceilings and a sleeping loft, have a private deck with outstanding views, fireplace, TV, full kitchen, washer/dryer and shared outdoor hot tub.   Come to the Snow Queen and experience the historic

charm of Aspen.”
