Boston's
Newbury Guest House

John C. Jones

How about a night in the heart of Boston’s historic Back Bay.  A lobby on the main floor      provides “people watching” on the fashionable Newbury Street of Boston!  You are in  close proximity to many of the famous landmarks you won’t want to miss while visiting historic Boston.  You will be within walking distance to Fenway Park, the Charles River Esplanade, Trinity Church, the Hynes Convention Center, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Theatre District and Downtown, with the Waterfront and the North End less than a mile away.

“A historic and charming bed & breakfast located in the heart of Boston's fashionable Back Bay. Unmatched location, value and ambience make this small boutique hotel a business or vacation traveler's dream.

Newbury Guest House thrives on the most desirable street in Boston. Newbury Street bustles with local merchant cafes, art galleries, designer boutiques and an endless array of restaurants to suit every palate. Located in Boston's most elegant and historic neighborhood, the Back Bay, the guesthouse is just steps away from public transportation and centrally located near major universities, hospitals, historic sites and cultural activities.

Independently owned by a local Bostonian, this romantic 32-room inn graciously combines 21st century comforts with 19th century style. Appealing to both business and leisure travelers, Newbury Guest House is an inexpensive alternative to larger hotels and rated a 3-diamond property by AAA. Amenities include free hi-speed wireless Internet, voice mail, limited free local calls, cable TV, 24 hour concierge and front desk services, on-site parking, and a full complimentary breakfast. A friendly and knowledgeable staff is always ready to assist you.

Follow the wafting scent of fresh baked muffins as you wander down to the Newbury Guest House Breakfast Parlor to begin your day.

Walk downstairs, or take the elevator, to our sunny breakfast parlor where, compliments of the innkeeper, a full breakfast buffet awaits you. Pour yourself a cup of delicious hot coffee as you scan the room for a table. On warm summer days, patio seating is also available.

Once you've settled down on the cozy banquette prepare yourself for the most important meal of the day. Just across the room, spread out before you is an array of baked goods including home-made blueberry, apple and carrot muffins, and assorted bagels. Lighter fare includes freshly cut grapefruit halves, hand-cut melon fruit salad, apples and bananas, natural yogurt and crunchy granola. Last but not least, steaming hot scrambled eggs and crispy bacon line the French country kitchen buffet table. Cold beverages include freshly squeezed orange juice, whole and skim milk. Hot flavored herbal teas are also available.  Enjoy breakfast between 7:30-10:30 am every morning, except Sunday when breakfast is served between 8-11am.
