Goose Creek Farm

Dandridge, Tennessee

John C. Jones
Travel/Food Writer

Driving through the wondrous Tennessee countryside just two short miles from downtown Dandridge, is the charming Goose Creek Farm Bed and Breakfast , with which you are sure to fall in love.  There on the picturesque rolling hills of the Douglas Lake, in view from Highway 139, rises the beautiful two story farmhouse, complete with formal gardens and gracefully done white gazebo.  The house is situated on what was once a 450 acre dairy farm.  Today the lovely farmhouse complete with a wrap-around porch, grand old barn, milking parlor and landscape make for a “never-to-be-forgotten” stay.  This B & B is unique in that they can accommodate your horses in their very own barn if you are traveling with your “favorite ride.”

This is a place where the readily available cookie jar is always filled with delicious cookies, and coffee always hot and ready. A hearty farmhouse breakfast is served each morning, or a continental breakfast served to the room if desired.    The three charming and delightful guest rooms feature private baths, and quaint décor.  The suite has a sitting room, queen size bed, and fireplace.  The other two rooms is a similarly equipped room without the sitting room, but with an ornamental fireplace.  The third guestroom comes with twin beds, or a king size bed.  Internet connection is available, and each room has cable television.

The B & B is located within a short, scenic, drive of historic and charming Dandridge, lake activities and fishing, outlet shops in Pigeon Forge, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, and Dollywood.  There are plenty of outdoor activities close by such as lake fishing, river fly fishing for trout, and golfing.

Once you meet Karen, (the widowed wife of a former Viet Nam veteran) you will feel a special welcome to the placid environment for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, on the “rolling hillsides of                                                               Tennessee.”
