Lake Las Vegas -
A Senior's Fun Place

Rhonda Pipkin

You are going to love Lake Las Vegas Resort and the golf clubs associated with it;  even if it is only because they have a forecaddie program.  Oh, the joys of having a caddie tell you where to place your best shots on the course or greens.  I remember how fantastic a golf game can be when there’s an expert who knows the course!  Having played a course like this in Jamaica, I can still hear the caddie say, “medium coming” when he referred to how hard I should putt the ball.  That caddie was worth gold on a course I had no knowledge of.

At Lake Las Vegas Resort you’ll find three premiere golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf.  A fourth course, 18 hole – par 72, is scheduled to be designed by Tom Fazio which is to be open for play in 2007.  Each course has its own personality and views.  The Fazio course is said to render spectacular views of the Lake Las Vegas Resort areas.

A Mediterranean-styled resort, Lake Las Vegas also includes the Ritz-Carlton and Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas Spa and Casino; these five and four diamond resort hotels offer spas, thrilling casinos, pampering amenities along with eclectic boutiques offering the best of shopping, quaint restaurants and cafés.   Two other resort hotels, MonteLago Village Resort and Loews Hotels’ Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort, are anticipated to open in 2008.   Full-service marinas with watercraft rentals and yacht cruises line the waterfront just waiting for you, the sailor, to take your place behind the helm.   The 40,000-square-foot Casino MonteLago are just a few reasons you will find this the place to visit.  Set in a backdrop of mountains, blue skies, and cool water, these resort facilities will speak to you saying, “this is your playground – why not stay?”

Besides the resort hotels and lush pampering facilities, there is also a premiere residential area carved out of the rugged mountainous landscape.  Seniors and other mature adults relish this tranquil area where luxurious waterfront homes with exclusive memberships to the golf courses grace the perimeters of the private lake.  MonteLago Village, an Italian styled village, is the pulse beat of Lake Las Vegas Resort.  Here you’ll be tempted to go ahead and sign up for a new home, condo, or villa.

Lake Las Vegas’ motto is “play for a day, stay for a week, or invest for a lifetime of inspiration.”  This is where desert meets society.  This spectacular oasis outshines the neon lights of the “strip.”   Seniors, with all the adult fun and entertainment available at Lake Las Vegas Resort, you’ll be glad you pursued making that reservation at this oasis in the desert!  Happy Traveling!
