Deer and elk roam freely along the roads, as does other Montana wildlife and the YC is designed to provide a place where a member can hike or walk for miles without seeing another member.
Security officers at the gate entrance are only the beginning - rumored that ex- Secret Service agents oversee the security. The main lodge (which looks as if it is a combination of the best of Vail, Aspen, Jackson Hole and the Yellowstone National Park Lodge) filled with timbered ceilings housing imposing stained glass sky lights collected from Europe, fine art adorning the walls, gigantic fire place, bronze statuary scattered throughout, a wine list fit for a king, and truly world-class chef and cooking staff! All of this wrapped in gigantic glass windows with each hosting a view of America's most incredible mountain peaks, shimmering aspen trees, and magnificent evergreens. The 137,000 square-foot enchanting lodge, stands majestically in classic elegance among the mountain peaks surrounding it. For the kids, there is plenty to do, including the annual "Camp YC," a three-day outdoor, festival with themes that change daily, and a staff wearing Hollywood designed clothes to match the event of the day! One day there will be an outdoor skating rink atop the parking area of the Lodge.

For information about the "never to be forgotten" Yellowstone Club Golf course, see Golf Section of this issue.
If this was not enough, it is just a brief drive to the base of the mountains where the Gallatin River (the river that inspired the movie, A River Runs Through It) flows along endless miles of the Bozeman - West Yellowstone highway, and offers some of the Rockies’ finest trout fishing. Just down the road in the Yellowstone National Park the famed Firehole, Madison, and Gibbon rivers await your fly rod, and you don't have to be rich or famous to fish some of the finest trout rivers in the entire world. The Club also has a stream which holds trout running through the property where many fly fishermen enjoy the pristine environment and take a few trout from the sparkling stream. Up and up and up a winding road there are log cabins designed with Montana/Ralph Lauren interiors available to guest of members for a reasonable fee. It is worth the stay in one just to have the pool/hot tub access – it seems to drop off into the valley facing the grand, stately, imposing mountains just beyond.

To top all of that off, Yellowstone Club memberships can be resold, but that won't happen often.
