From Luxury Resorts to Kangaroos in North Georgia

“The Place to Stay”

Here is a place of luxury that “has it all.”

No wonder their success reads like an American “road to the top of lodging industry.”

Forrest Hills Resort offers:

Bedroom Cabins with Hot Tub

                                                          Day Spa Menu

All in the beautiful North Georgia mountains setting. Just some of the things one can do:  Relax and spend time sipping Champagne, soaking in your own private hot tub, sitting in front of your own fireplace staring into the dancing flames, enjoying candle light dinners every night without cooking, cleaning up, a hour massage in your own cabin, Southern breakfast daily, carriage rides, long horse rides, and there is even a wagon ride available with a steak and chicken cookout!

Nearby are golf course, the North Georgia Winery Trail (see related article), canoeing and kayaking, gold mine tours, state park, and bike trails.  For corporate facilities check out the web site, or give them a call or e-mail:

135 Forrest Hills Rd.  •  Dahlonega, GA  30533

This is a classy place that merits my “Editor’s Choice.”

While in North Georgia Visit the  Kangaroos

Yes, lots of kangaroos.  Just an hour from Atlanta North, the largest collection of these mesmerizing animals exist outside of Australia.  Over 300 in fact!  Eight species of kangaroos!

At the Kangaroo Conservation Center one will see these outstanding animals in an “open

habitat.”  A ride on the KangaRanger “train” will take you through the 87 acres while kangaroos greet you on both sides of the trail. During the ninety minute tour one will learn how to throw a boomerang, ride the KangaRanger, see various educational exhibits, explore butterflies as well as see various unique birds. This is one experience that is “in a class by itself.”  There is nothing else like it in the U.S.A.  The family will love this excursion.

              Happy Traveling.
